The NOAA Climate Prediction Center (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is forecasting an intense hurricane season for this year. The institution predicts the presence of 9 to 15 storms with winds of 39 mph or more, and 4 to 8 of them may become hurricanes with winds of 74 mph or more, including two to four category 3 or 4 hurricanes with winds up to 156 mph.
